In 1921, a group of women in Oakland, California, conceived a club for women whose purpose was to promote and advance the best for women: SOROPTIMIST.
On November 14, 1942, the Soroptimist International of Martinez club was chartered, bringing support and empowerment to generations of women and girls in Martinez and our surrounding areas. Our club members are proud to be continuing this 82-year legacy, and are thankful to all of you for your steadfast support!
