Welcome to the Soroptimist International of Martinez website! We are a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment, specifically those facing significant obstacles.
Bunco was a huge Success- We were able to raise a little more $1,500.00 to help our club give scholarships through our Soroptimist Live Your Dream Program.

Our club was chartered in 1942 and has been serving the community of Martinez for the last 78 years. We currently have 18 members and meet monthly at the IBEW Local 302 Hall. We provide volunteer service in an atmosphere of support, friendship, and fun. We plan fundraisers for various projects and present our scholarship awards in the spring at our Annual Tea. The year culminates at our Regional Conference in May, when all the clubs come together to celebrate and congratulate the recipients of the various program awards.

We are part of Soroptimist International, which has five major Federations. Our Federation, Soroptimist International of the Americas, is further divided into Regions. Each region contains several Districts with local clubs geographically arranged. You can view this larger picture here.
